By Eddie Ssejjoba LYANTONDE town councillors have disagreed with their chairman, Mr. Eria Ssewandigi, over the suspension of the town clerk, Mr. Wamala Kakembo. Kakembo is accused of mismanaging council funds and failing to implement council resolutions. In a heated council meeting held on Friday, the councillors passed a resolution to suspend Kakembo for two weeks. But Ssewandigi requested the councillors to reverse their decision. He warned that suspending Kakembo without clear reasons could result in big financial losses in case he decided to sue them. The chairman said he would not recognize their decision since they had failed to state clearly why they took it. Ends
