By Faustine likabana PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni's supporters on Wednesday made effigy of Col. Kizza Besigye. They bought a coffin and held a procession in Malaba and Tororo towns celebrating Besigye's defeat. The excited supporters who were lead by Kwapa sub-county chairman, Alfred Obore and the Malaba mayor, Albino Otabong, marched in Malaba while wailing and singing liberation songs. They later marched to Tororo in a convoy of five vehicles with the coffin. They pasted Besigye posters upside down. At Tororo round about, the coffin was put on the ground where one supporter who acted as the priest prayed for it with others mimicking Luganda funeral hymns. They later marched in the streets of Tororo before returning to Malaba. They threw the coffin in river Malaba under tight security. A pick-up truck full of soldiers escorted the supporters to Malaba.
