Clerk praises MPs

AENEAS Tandekwire, the Clerk to Parliament, has hailed the outgoing sixth Parliament saying it has been the best in the twenty years he has served in the Parliamentary Service Commission.

By Edris Kisambira AENEAS Tandekwire, the Clerk to Parliament, has hailed the outgoing sixth Parliament saying it has been the best in the twenty years he has served in the Parliamentary Service Commission. "For the last twenty years that I have been in this place, the sixth Parliament has been the best, he said on Friday, at the end of a management course for the members of staff of Parliament. He said successes like the autonomy of Parliament would not have been achieved without a good Parliament and the dedicated service of its members of staff. He thanked them for a job well done and asked them to prepare for the seventh Parliament. The four-module course undertaken by Management Training and Advisory Centre was aimed at addressing key weaknesses among Parliament members staff. Kaija Kwamya, the Under Secretary of Finance and Administration to Parliament said the course was aimed at imparting principles and skills of management, public relations and customer care. Ends
