THE Prime Minister, Prof. Apolo Nsibambi, has said the late Nebbi Woman Member of Parliament was a devoted National Resistance Movement cadre who served her country well, reports .A. G. Musamali.

THE Prime Minister, Prof. Apolo Nsibambi, has said the late Nebbi Woman Member of Parliament was a devoted National Resistance Movement cadre who served her country well, reports .A. G. Musamali. In a message read by gender, labour and social services minister Zoe Bakoku Bakoro at a funeral service at Mbuya Catholic Church on Wednesday, Nsibambi said Dhugira Opoti entered politics at a very youthful age and helped to fight for the cause of her people. “I remember going to Opoti in Mulago Hospital during her last days, and even in that condition she was able to recognise me,” Nsibambi said. “She was hardworking and very friendly. She mixed freely with fellow politicians as well as other members of the public,” he added. Rev. Fr. Anthony Musala celebrated the mass, assisted by Father Santolino. Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, state ministers Patrick Okumu Ringa, Namirembe Bitamazire attended. Ends
