Wakhweya

KAMPALA – Former finace minister in Idi Amin’s cabinet, Emmanuel Bwayo Wakhweya, is dead. Wakhweya died at the Kampala International Hospital on Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest, family sources said. He served as Amin’s first finance and economic development minister between 1971-1973. He later worked at the World Bank and the Public Enterprises Reform and Divestiture Secretariat. He will be buried at Bunyinza, Butiru, in Mbale district. Ends
