KIDS have dominated the Uganda motocross team to the first round of FIM East and Central Africa Motocross championship due at Jamuhuri Park in Nairobi this weekend.

The Uganda team of 20 riders has 10 kids between the ages of 5-10 years.
“We didn’t have a sponsor and in this situation many riders had to sponsor themselves. That is why you see many youngsters on board,” team captain Arthur Blick stated after flag off.

Blick further explained that taking a full team would cost them sh16m which they didn’t have.

He was however grateful to the National Council of Sports for the offer of sh2m which he said was a boost to their campaign.

NCS boss Jasper Aligawesa appealed to the riders to put their country ahead while in Kenya.
