LONG distance ace Moses Kipsiro is among the athletes expected to arrive in the All Africa Games Village on Thursday to defend his games 5000m athletics title.

Team Uganda general manager Nicholas Muramagi yesterday said that the double 5000m and 10000m Commonwealth Games champion, who opted out of the World Athletics Championships last month, will make a presence at the National Stadium, Zimpetto, for the track and field events starting Sunday.

“They have confirmed that Kipsiro is coming with the other athletes. We will have a full team down here,” said Muramagi.

Kipsiro, who is expected to take part in the 10000m and 5000m, had opted out of the Games due to fitness reasons. He also missed the World Championships that took place in Daegu, Korea but later asked the athletics body to keep his name on the list for Maputo.
