Heathens start their Nile Special Rugby Championship play-offs on Saturday, April 27, highly motivated to go for the title they lost last year to Stanbic Black Pirates.

The Heathens completed their round-robin format unbeaten with a 27-18 win over Toyota Buffaloes at Kyadondo.

The Kyadondo Rugby Club-based side unveiled their new away kit dominated with blue colour and then their traditional yellow colour.

The jersey was launched in Kampala together with partners Mafro Sports, and sponsor Platinum Credit.

The kit will also be available to their fans for sale at a promotional price of sh150,000.

“The team has consistently performed well whenever we debut new colours for the first time,” Club captain Michael Wokorach said at the launch.

“Our rival sides have mocked us for having only one jersey. Now, we can feel more comfortable and motivated to go for a win as we establish a strong identity as Heathens,” Wokorach added.

Kyadondo Club Chairman, Brian Tabaruka noted that as a club they are excited about having a new away kit and that the development brings a sense of pride and belonging to the establishment.

"This evolution not only ignites excitement among fans but also solidifies our pride and unity as members of the Kyadondo Rugby Club family,” Tabaruka said.

Heathens’ chairperson Asha Kalanzi extended gratitude to Psponsors for their steadfast partnership with Heathens, which has facilitated the acquisition of an away jersey.

“We are deeply grateful to Platinum Credit for their unwavering support,” noted Kalanzi. Meanwhile, at the same event, a new kit was launched for the Stallions, a feeder team for Kyadondo-based men’s sides, along with attire for all members of Kyadondo’s technical team.
