Blu 3 to tour together once again in 16 years

Whether or not Mya, who joined the group when Cindy left, will join the tour, is still rather uncertain, but one would say, with the original trio on board, not much may be missed.
Blu 3 is set to perform together for a period of six months
Upon announcing their return on stage in a major concert, set for June 22, after 16 years, the Blu 3 trio, formerly comprised of Cindy Sanyu, Lillian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru, has announced that they will tour Uganda together, performing countrywide as a group until December, 2024
When the group teasingly appeared on stage together, last year, at Naguru Skyz Hotel, Kampala, rumours that they were recording new music together started making rounds. This was later confirmed by Lillian Mbabazi, in March, this year, in a YouTube interview.
This, according to Mbabazi, in a press release, today, Tuesday, April 16, formed the background of the group's choice to perform together for a period of six months.
"In the recent past, we have been meeting often for rehearsals, working long hours, creating a sync, and bonding in the studio as we prepare to take on the world one more time is exhilarating. We are excited, happy, and looking forward to the things we are going to create together" Mbabazi told journalists
According to Cindy, the choice of touring Uganda, for a little longer after their concert, is also hinged on the need to rekindle the group's charm in the memories of their fans.
“We haven’t shared a stage in 16 years. We owe ourselves the opportunity to experience what it felt like once again, Jackie, Lilian, and me. Our fans across the world will stop wondering what Blue 3 could have been. So we decided to stick together a bit longer after the concert. Between July and December, we will be touring as a group," said Sanyu.
The three singers had since gone on to pursue solo careers, with Cindy's proving a bit more eventful and active, Mbabazi's time with the Sundowners band notwithstanding.
Whether or not Mya, who joined the group when Cindy left, will join the tour, is still rather uncertain, but one would say, with the original trio on board, not much may be missed.
