Cindy Sanyu’s husband unlocked the vulnerability in her that she had kept under lock and key all her dating life.
According to the Boom Party singer, she had her guard up through all her past relationships until she got married to Joel Okuyo, an actor.
“It was until he (Okuyo) was in my life that I realised oh my God, he makes life easy. I no longer had to have my guard up all the time. Because I grew up all my life knowing I had to keep an eye out. You can’t sleep for long, you can’t stay up for long. I was always on guard. But when I had him in my life, it was like for a moment I could relax and not care. I could sit there like a spoilt kid, point and say do that for me. It made me realise being vulnerable is nice,” said Cindy via YouTube.

Cindy has a daughter from a past relationship.
