Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party’s Eunice Apio Atuku has retained the Oyam North County Member of Parliament (MP) seat with 37,055 votes.

Atuku was followed by National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag-bearer Willy Omodo with 12,288 votes, followed by Engola Okello Junior (independent) with 8,603 votes and Chrispus Ayena Odongo (independent) with 825 votes.

Newton Freddy Okello (FDC) polled 413 votes, while National Unity Platform party’s David Okullu collected 146 votes in his bucket, as Ronald Ray, an Independent, closed the pack with 138 votes.

Kwania South

In Kwania South County, Patrick Ogwang Obura (NRM) won the Mp race with 29,353 votes, beating seven other contenders.

Geoffrey Willy (UPC) came second with 9,529 votes, while Queen Dorothy Amollo (Independent) followed with 3,516 votes.

Others are Anthony Ebuku Ekwaru (Independent) with 3,222 votes, Patrick Obong (Independent) with 777 votes, Bernard Awuku (Independent) with 465 votes, Esa Otto Amiza (NUP) with 283 votes and Godfrey Odongo (PFF) with 202 votes.
