Presidential candidates hit the campaign trail across Uganda on Saturday (November 1), rallying supporters and sharing their 2026 election visions.

As the 2026 race heats up, presidential candidates crisscrossed the country on Saturday (November 1) to rally supporters and share their visions for Uganda.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, President Yoweri Museveni, continued his campaign trail to Katakwi and Amuria. At the same time, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer Nandala Mafabi reached out to voters in Oyam and Omoro. National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu rallied supporters in Agago, as Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) candidate Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu engaged voters in Wakiso, and Common Man's Party (CMP) presidential candidate Mubarak Munyagwa, was in Kabale.

CMP Camp

Munyagwa addressed a mini rally after making a stopover at Kabale Market in Kabale Municipality, Kabale District, on Saturday (November 1).



During his campaign trail, the CMP frontrunner reiterated that one of his first actions upon assuming office would be to secure the release of the incarcerated People's Front for Freedom (PFF) leader, Dr Kizza Besigye.

Excited FDC supporters broke into chants as presidential aspirant James Nathan Nandala Mafabi arrived at Corner Kambidin roadside market. Mafabi pledged to boost prices for farmers’ produce sold at such markets.

Muntu also raised concern over Ugandans’ limited understanding of presidential succession, saying many citizens lack trust in the system. He pledged to restore constitutionalism and rebuild public confidence in governance.
