At a campaign rally in Atiira, Serere District, FDC presidential aspirant Nathan Nandala Mafabi heard residents’ frustrations over a local fruit factory that allegedly favours imported produce over local farmers. One resident, Charles Ocen, urged Mafabi to prioritise local raw materials to create jobs for Ugandans. Mafabi later continued his campaign to Kamod Trading Centre in Kasilo. Residents of Kikoona Village in Kyebando Sub-County, Kibaale District, told ANT presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Gregory Mugisha Muntu, that land grabbing, poor roads, and fluctuating produce prices remain their biggest challenges.

Also, while in Kibaale, Muntu told residents of Karuguuza Town Council in Kibaale District that he parted ways with President Museveni long ago, saying he chose to leave after realising the president had gone a different path.
