NRM harvests three more parliamentary seats in Hoima

NRM’s Wakabi wins Bugahya County in Hoima

The electoral commission has declared Pius Wakabi the winner for Bugahya County.

Wakabi, who is the NRM flag bearer, was declared winner with 30,923 votes, beating Hebert Kato of ANT, who got 3,373 votes and Allan Tugume, 6,091 votes.

NRM’s Kasigwa wins Kigorobya County in Hoima

In Kigorobya County, Dr Gerald Kasigwa of the NRM was also declared with 12,175 votes, beating his rival, former state minister for public service and incumbent David Karubanga (independent), who got 8,793 and Crispus Mugisa of NUP, who got 829 votes.

Beatrice Wembabazi has been declared the winner the Hoima district woman parliamentary seat.

For the Hoima district woman parliamentary seat, Beatrice Wembabazi of NRM was declared the winner with 35,511 votes, Harriet Businge Mugenyi is in second position with 14,725, Suzan Asiimwe, the independent candidate, polled 5,579, and Vena Mulindwa of NUP got 3,381 votes.
