NRM

National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, President Yoweri Museveni campaigned in Kitagwenda and Kabarole/Fort Portal City, where he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic NRM supporters.

He reminded residents of Kitagwenda—neighbours to the Democratic Republic of Congo—of the high cost of war, noting that the NRM has worked tirelessly to safeguard the peace that protects both lives and property.

On infrastructure development, the President announced that funding for the Ibanda–Kagongo–Kabujogera–Kamwenge road has been secured. He further commended the hardworking farmers of Kitagwenda, noting that 60 percent of households have now joined the money economy. He promised to address outstanding concerns during his upcoming radio talk show.
