Uganda continues to strengthen its presence on the regional and international tourism stage through a rapid succession of showcases promoting the country’s irresistible attractions.

At the Karibu-Kilifair 2026 Expo in Arusha, Tanzania, running from June 4-7, 2026, fairgoers were engaged by the Uganda delegation among 500 other exhibitors. The delegation comprised travel trade professionals, tour operators, tourism stakeholders and 700 international destination buyers from across Africa and beyond, all promoting the country’s diverse tourism offerings under the renowned Pearl of Africa brand.

The annual expo provided a valuable platform for 10,000 participants to forge strategic partnerships, explore new business opportunities and strengthen Uganda’s position as one of Africa’s leading tourism destinations.

Through business-to-business meetings and destination marketing engagements, Ugandan exhibitors highlighted the country’s unique wildlife experiences, adventure tourism, cultural heritage, meetings and conferences sector, and growing investment opportunities.

Uganda Tourism Board spokesperson Gessa Simplicious said the Kilifair platform is an ideal space to showcase and compare notes within the tourism industry.

“The sunny and sandy beaches of Tanzania, when combined with Uganda’s mountain gorilla tracking, the Source of the River Nile and white-water rafting, make the region a must-visit destination,” said Gessa.

In the same tone, Uganda’s Consulate in Arusha, Annete Katusiime, beaming with satisfaction, said the time has never been better for regional tourism.

“Given a common visa and joint development projects, mobility in the region is getting better for tourism, trade and investment,” she said.

Tourism stakeholders say participation in regional travel exhibitions remains critical in expanding Uganda’s visibility, attracting more visitors and creating new avenues for tourism growth.

As Karibu-Kilifair 2026 enters its final day, visitors are encouraged to stop by the Uganda stand and experience firsthand the rich cultural diversity, breathtaking landscapes and authentic experiences that continue to make Uganda a destination of choice for travellers seeking unforgettable African adventures.

From the mountain gorillas of Bwindi to the Source of the Nile and the vast savannahs teeming with wildlife, Uganda remains committed to showcasing the very best of the Pearl of Africa to the world.
