It is just after sunrise, and a family that landed at Entebbe the night before is already on board one of our Cessna Caravans.

Grandparents, parents and children settle in for the flight south west. By mid-morning they are checking into a lodge on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with the afternoon free and their gorilla trek booked for the next day. By road, the same journey takes most of a day.

This is the kind of journey we fly at Kampala Executive Aviation (KEA). Since 2008, we have carried tourists, families, business travellers and VIP guests to Uganda’s national parks, lodges and remote corners.

Tourism is one of the country’s great success stories, with more than 1.6 million international visitors in 2025 earning Uganda about UGX 5.8 trillion, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.

This World Tourism Day, we are proud of the part our charters play in helping those visitors see more of Uganda, more comfortably, in the time they have.
