Weatherhead title hopes dealt big blow by Wananchi SC

Wananchi SC beat the reigning champions Weatherhead 3-1 in the National Hockey League at Lugogo on Sunday to complete a double over their rivals.

Wananchi SC player Shafik Byamukama has attributed their victory over rivals, Weatherhead to teamwork and determination.
Wananchi SC beat the reigning champions Weatherhead 3-1 in the National Hockey League at Lugogo on Sunday to complete a double over their rivals.
"We worked as a team, and we're focused on beating our rivals to brighten our title chances," Byamukama happily noted.
However, Weatherhead’s captain Moses Tushabe blamed his team's loss on complacency.
"We played poorly, and I was not happy with our reaction levels after losing the ball," he said.
The win saw Wananchi move to 25 points in the third position, below leaders, and second-placed Weatherhead and MUL Stinger.
