Vipers Sports Club has announced its decision to withdraw from the upcoming double-header clash against Kitara FC, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Namboole Stadium.

The club cites unresolved concerns regarding the new league format and reforms introduced by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

In a statement released on Thursday, Vipers SC emphasized that it will not participate in the fixture until FUFA formally and respectfully addresses the issues raised in the club’s previous correspondences and petitions.

“The club shall not participate in the new league format double-header game… until FUFA responds to the issues raised,” the statement read.

Vipers SC also expressed gratitude to its fans, stakeholders, and the broader football community for their continued support in advocating for a league that upholds integrity and inclusivity.

“We appreciate the support and encouragement from genuine football lovers and all stakeholders in the pursuit of a league that listens to and respects all voices,” the club added.

The development casts uncertainty over the weekend fixture and raises broader questions about stakeholder engagement in Ugandan football reforms.
