ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional Qualifier C
Gambia 27 Uganda 28/0
(Uganda win by 10 wickets)
It was over before it even began.
Uganda, having bowled out The Gambia for 27 in 8.2 overs, took just 10 balls to complete the chase and bag their third victory in three games at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional Qualifier C.
Riazat Shah (3/11) and Enock Kasaija (3/14) led the bowling attack for Uganda, with Alpesh Ramjani (2/2) and Joseph Baguma (1/0) making a contribution.
At that point, the question was not whether Uganda would win but whether they would win with all their wickets in hand.
That they accomplished, with Robinson Obuya and Anaïs Baig (20* off 6 balls) and (6* off 4 balls making the result sure in short order.
Uganda always expected to dominate this tournament but even they would have been surprised by how comfortable this contest was.
Uganda, second to Nigeria in the standings courtesy of net-run-rate, take on Mozambique tomorrow.
