Three Ugandans set for World Youth Transnational Bridge Championships
Delegation leader Egulwa says the selected team is fired up to compete against the best youth players in the world.

Uganda Bridge Federation will make history by representing Uganda in its maiden appearance at the World Youth Transnational Bridge Championships in Hefei, China, running from August 3 to August 8.
A delegation of three players and three officials left for the event on Friday. The event will be contested in five age categories: the Open U26, Women U26 (WU26), Open U21, Open U16, and Open U31. Participation is fully transnational, allowing players from different nations to compete together.
Uganda is the only African country representing the continent at the five-day event. Uganda will be represented by Shanitah Musinguzi from Victoria University and Andrew Sebuufu from Ndejje University, while Anold Kizito travelled as a coach-player for the UBF Honorary Secretary Reagan Egulwa-led team.
Eric Xiao and Jason Yao are also on the team as non-playing captain and non-playing coach, respectively.

"Bridge has been actively growing in Uganda since 2024, and reaching this milestone has been nothing but hard work from the Uganda Bridge Federation team. Today we set off with a strong team ready to compete and will surely make Uganda proud," Egulwa stated.
"This landmark representation underscores the growth of Bridge in Uganda and across the African continent. The Ugandan Bridge Federation extends its full support to the team and encourages the public to follow their progress."
