Teams to the test as Singleton Golf Challenge second round beacons

24th August 2023

The second round action on Saturday at Entebbe Club is expected to produce the same sparks as it was in the first round as teams fight to stay afloat. Already many big guns and prominent teams were bundled out in the first round and it does not get any easier in the second.

The Singleton Golf Challenge second round promises to offer even more competition as pressure continues to mount at every stage of the four-ball-better-ball match play event.

The second round action on Saturday at Entebbe Club is expected to produce the same sparks as it was in the first round as teams fight to stay afloat. Already many big guns and prominent teams were bundled out in the first round and it does not get any easier in the second.

In the opening match of the day, Richard Mucunguzi/Saidi Kirarira will take on Elly Mukasa/Kiryowa Kiwanuka as Joseph Bogera/Kenneth Kiddu entertain Steven Kitamirike/Jamil Maninji in the second.

Emmanuel Wamimbi/Ivan Wesonga take on the only couple team of Evelyn Natukunda/Ellis Katwebaze in one of the other match-ups as the only ladies’ teams of Lillian Koowe/Joyce Kisembo and Peace Kabasweka/Sheila Kesiime fight it out with Edward Oketch/ Saleh Kalema and Peter Mujuni/Stephen Katwiremu respectively.

Every stroke counts as all the team's eye qualifying for the quarter-finals as they move closer to the bigger prizes that include six air tickets to Dubai, Mombasa, and Zanzibar courtesy of Uganda Airlines.

In between, there are other goodies to win especially in the subsidiary event courtesy of the other co-sponsors like NCBA Bank and DStv for Business.
