Mulungi Sseruwo carded a net score of 8-under 63 to win the October MTN Monthly Tees tournament at Entebbe Club on Saturday.
After six unsuccessful attempts this year Sseruwo, who plays off handicap 28 finally found his winning touch topping a strong field that had 198 players in action. But he remains far below in the Monthly Tee Order of Merit.
It is instead Rukia Nalwoga and Peace Hellen who won the ladies Groups A and B respectively and Maxi Byenkya who was the runners up in the ladies Group B who strengthened their positions (top four) on the ladies Order of Merit leaderboard having made it to the podium once again.

Joseph Adrapi edged Michael Tumusiime by a stroke in the men’s Group A while Collins Aritua beat Ronald Arinaitwe in Group B as Jamil Maningi edged Musa Baguma in Group C.
Sponsors MTN reciprocated their earlier visit to the Mary Louise Simkins Memorial Golf Club Namulonge by inviting their counterparts from Equity Bank for a golfing contest that the MTN team won. The victors with an accumulative score of 710nett from their top ten players that included Bryan Mbasa (58net), Barbara Kiwanuka (66), Michael Sekadde (70), Albert Gita (72), Phiona Namanya (73), Justina Ichabala (73), Kenneth Kiddu (73), Ruth Pamela Akello (78), Irene Ssekabembe (78) and Nelson Musinguzi (78).
Equity’s top ten who accumulated 807nett included Arinda Afurah (67nett), Gift Shoko (73), Claver Serumaga (73), Ivan Kaweesi (74), Moses Mukiibi (76), Elizabeth Wahito (81), Derrick Mugerwa (88), Ronald Mugabi (90), Peter Sekyanzi (91), and Ivan Collins Byamukama (94).
