She Cranes overcame hosts Kenya 62–42 on Tuesday in one of the most competitive matches of the Africa Netball Cup in Nairobi.

Despite Kenya's home advantage and vocal support from the stands, the She Cranes showed little sign of being intimidated by the noise or pressure.

Instead, Uganda remained focused on maintaining its unbeaten run and took control through disciplined ball possession, movement, and shooting accuracy.

The She Cranes established their authority early, taking a 30–23 lead by half-time.

Kenya returned for the second half determined to close the gap, but Uganda continued to apply pressure and controlled the game. The hosts struggled to match Uganda's intensity and accuracy as the She Cranes pulled further ahead before completing a convincing 62–42 victory.

Goal defender Evelyn Ayitesi says the She Cranes are looking forward to putting up another solid performance when they face rivals Malawi.

"We had a lot of teamwork, and it was very crucial in our win against Kenya," Ayitesi said.

The win keeps Uganda in a strong position as they prepare for their final Group B match against Malawi on Wednesday.

The encounter will bring the group stage to a close, with Malawi fighting to keep its hopes of qualifying for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney alive, while Uganda has already secured its place at the global tournament.

For the She Cranes, Wednesday's match will provide another opportunity to test their strength against a familiar opponent before the competition enters its decisive stages.
