In a session attended by the disciplinary committee officials Sam Gubala Nadiope, Duncan Biyinzika, Dr. Kassim Senyange. SC Villa have confirmed the suspension of Ali Kigongo of Villa Park branch for misconduct.
According to the letter written to Kigongo, he is suspended for insulting match officials after the game against Maroons FC on 1st February Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
“Following the disciplinary hearing held on February 7th 2024 regarding your conduct at the match between Sports Club Villa and Maroons on February 1st, the disciplinary committee has reached a verdict; you are suspended from attending the next two home matches which will be Vipers and Express Fc and you are required to re-attend a stewards training course”

“This serves as a warning that any act of hooliganism in the future will result in a lifetime ban from attending all Sports Club Villa home matches” SC Villa disciplinary committee stated.
Villa Park branch chairperson John Bosco Ssebadduka informs fans revealed to Vision Sport that the punishment is worthy and should act as a lesson to the rest.
“The ruling was fair and being a stadium steward, Kigongo is expected to be exemplary to the rest of the fans. We are summoning him for further caution as a branch on Wednesday next week and this helps us sensitize our fans.”
SC villa last season suffered 2 points 2 goals deductions by the FUFA Competitions Rules and Regulations committee after fans attacked match officials in a game against Wakiso Giants at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
SC Villa will be playing away against Kitara FC in Masindi at 4pm in the Uganda Premier League
