Nile Special Rugby Championship
Saturday
Buffaloes v Rhinos, Kyadondo 4pm
The Toyota Buffaloes have their work cut out for them when they take on the table-topping Rhinos in the Nile Special Rugby Championship this Saturday.
Languishing in fifth place, the Buffaloes would like to make inroads into the top four and they can only achieve that with a big performance against the Rhinos.
Buffaloes coach Charles Onen believes they will try and make use of their preseason encounters to try and build a point of attack
“So Rhinos are currently on top of the table and it is because of hard work that they are there. We played them as part of our test games at the start of the league. We believe it’s a contest we know will be tough for us but we believe the boys have more in them that they can dig out compared to the last test match against them. We believe that everything is moving well and I believe we shall go for the win,” explained Onen.
While the Rhinos have defeated Impis, Rams, and Warriors this season Buffaloes will not allow their slow start to mess with their game plan according to hooker Ronald Kanyanya.
“They have had a good start to the championship and we have had a slow start. Every game we have played we have learned something new. We shall take this game as we have been taking other games,” Kanyanya stated.
To achieve the victory they will need to retain the ball better because that has been a major pitfall for the Buffaloes.
