With less than a week to go before the Rugby Africa Cup, Uganda has unveiled its final squad for the tournament.
Star back Philip Wokorach, currently excelling in the India Rugby Premier League, headlines the team. Also included is Alex Aturinda, captain of the Uganda 7s side at the recent Africa Sevens, bringing vital ball-handling skills and agility from the base of the scrum.
The squad also features several new faces in the front row who include Edward Emiemu (hooker, Walukuba Barbarians), Fahad Maido (prop, Jinja Hippos) and Blair Ayebazibwe (prop, KOBs). All three were on the fringes of selection last year and now get their chance to shine on the continental stage.
