RezLife Saints head coach Moses Okwera says his team will remain competitive as they continue their flawless start to the National Basketball League season.

The Saints stretched their unbeaten run to four wins in four games after defeating UMU Flames 73–63 at YMCA Court, Wandegeya, on Sunday, February 22.

“Preparation is behind all these wins and the recruitments we made. We prepared so well and we believe in ourselves,” Okwera said.

RezLife set the tone early, leading 14–9 at the end of the first quarter. They maintained control through the second and third quarters before sealing the game in the final period.

Hon Kwany anchored the team with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while captain Michael Otieno led the scoring with 19 points. Edrine Ekau added 15 and Kevin Moru chipped in 12. Ekau has now scored double figures in all four games this season.

“Ekau is a young and very talented player. He is hungry to play. There is competition in the team. Everyone needs to play,” Okwera noted.

RezLife dominated the boards with 56 rebounds compared to UMU’s 45. They scored 20 points off turnovers, 28 in the paint, 19 second-chance points, and 22 fast-break points, building a lead that stretched to 14. Despite limited bench production, the starters carried the day with disciplined defence and sharp execution.

The victory follows earlier wins against KCCA Panthers, UPDF Tomahawks, and Victoria Crocs. Okwera believes consistency will be key to achieving their season target.
“Success for us is being in the top five at the end of the season. We need to stay competitive. We might not be the best, but we hope for the best. We need to carry on this form,” he said.
