While several Uganda Premier League (UPL) clubs continue to struggle in attracting credible sponsorships, reigning champions Vipers SC have once again demonstrated the importance of proper organisation, professionalism and competitiveness in modern football.


Many local clubs often fail to secure long-term corporate backing not because sponsors are unavailable, but because companies prefer associating themselves with well-structured and ambitious institutions that reflect their values and brand image.


Vipers SC remain one of the few clubs in Ugandan football that have successfully built strong partnerships with reputable companies such as Plascon, Hima Cement and St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende (SMASK), under the leadership of club president Lawrence Mulindwa.


The Venoms capped off another remarkable season on Saturday, May 23, when they were crowned champions of the 2025/26 UPL season at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende to secure the eighth league title in the club’s history and a fifth crown in the last seven campaigns.

 


Their latest triumph came in dominant fashion after completing the season unbeaten on the pitch in 29 matches winning with 67 points, further underlining their growing dominance in Ugandan football.


Following the title success, Plascon Uganda, one of the club’s major sponsors, praised Vipers for their consistency, ambition and professionalism, while reaffirming their commitment to continuing the partnership.
