Olila High School WFC coach Cifu Pande is optimistic about his team’s chances of returning back to  the FUFA Women’s Super League next year. 

Olila WFC will have to win all their remaining matches to have a chance of returning to the FUFA Women’s top tier in Uganda’s football.

The Soroti based club that crushed Sacred Heart’s Ladies FC in their opening match of the FUFA Women’s Elite League will on Sunday play Lango Queens at AkiBua Stadium.

"Our target this time is to ensure that the team returns to the FUFA Women’s supper league next year. We have to go and do the business and bring our best. I am pretty confident we can get the ball rolling starting on Sunday," Pande said.

Pande admitted that the women did not perform well last season in the FUFA Women’s Super League chance causing the teams demotion to the FUFA Women’s Elite League.

“It has been a tough couple of days, but I think everyone is really raring to go and looking forward to getting out in the Lango based club again on Sunday and putting in a good performance. We need to be clear on our game plan and have the confidence to execute it on the day,” Daphine Apio team captain Olila women’s club lauded.

Daniel Omara, the the CEO of the club admitted that the club is fully prepared to face the new season with the clubs second game of the season against Olila women’s club on Sunday with aim of storming the FUFA women super league next season.

 

“The preparation we had prior to the start of the season was great, we were able to play some pre-season friendly game with different teams within the region and we managed to win all of them which is a clear indication that the Rhinoceros are prepared and ready to approach the new season and the team is ready for nothing else apart from qualifying to the Super league next season”, Omara Said.

The team which is being managed by one of the most capped and experienced coach in the Sub Region, Geoffrey Okwii who holds a CAF B Coaching license and also double as an instructor assisted by Richard Opio who holds CAF C Coaching license will be participating in the second-tier league for five consecutive seasons.
