Ronnie Kasewu, one of the National Basketball League's (NBL) greatest players, passed away Friday after being hit by a car in Mukono.
Kasewu will be laid to rest on Monday in Kibuku district.
Kasewu made his name during the heyday of the Warriors, who were one of the country's most popular basketball clubs until they folded in 2022.
Kasewu's methodical game, built on driving to the rim and finishing through contact, and his humble persona made him a huge fan favourite.
Kasewu was a cornerstone of the Warriors' championship runs in 2009 and 2012, etching his name in the pantheon of the game's greats.
Kasewu has been mourned across social media, with many telling their favourite Kasewu stories. His name will live long in memory.
