The Uganda Lacrosse Association interim executive committee will take credit for reviving the National League that started over the weekend after five years of no action

ULA interim president Liberty Twesiime explained the importance of this development.

“Reviving the league has been the cardinal issue in our program, we hope to continue with this,” Twesiime said.

The league comes almost two months to the end of Twesiime and his interim executive's tenure, as they pave the way for the general elections.

Patience Amulen who plays for MUBS Women is sure that this is a new dawn for the sport.

“We have waited for this league to return, good it has come and we expect much from it,” Amulen said.

Rodgers Anywa who is a coach player at Panthers Lacrosse Club sees this as a platform to prepare players for the 2025 Men's U20 Lacrosse Championship in South Korea.

“If there is consistency with this league, we shall be able to get players that will represent us in South Korea next year,” Anywa stated.

Warriors beat Jinja Nile Zulus 15-9, while Panthers thumped KLC 14-7.

With the question of the new constitution in place, Twesiime assured the Lacrosse community that this is being worked upon.

He told Vision Sports that the new constitution which is the most important item in their interim tenure has been drafted and sent to World Lacrosse for review.

“We drafted the new constitution and sent it to World Lacrosse, we are now waiting for their guidance,” Twesiime explained.
