Mustafa Kizza has promised to lift KCCA FC back to its glory days.

The left-back signed a two-year contract on the final day of the transfer window.

“I feel happy to return home. This was an easy decision for me to make. I want to help the club to return to its glory days. The club is intent on achieving its objectives this year and I cannot wait to get started with the lads,” stated Kizza.

Kizza was handed shirt 12, which was previously given out to teenager Alex Yiga, who was later sent out for football trials in Europe.

Kizza started his career with KCCA Soccer Academy as a teenager in 2015 and played for the development side until 2016.

He was then loaned to Maroons at the beginning of the 2016–17 season, later returned to KCCA FC in January 2017, and played for the senior team for 3 and a half years.

After not living up to the task with professional stints, Kizza returned to Lugogo for a second stint last season for six months until the end of July 2023. In his second stint, he did not deliver as he was affected by injuries.

He then left KCCA FC at the end of the season with several clubs interested in him such as Vipers but he later chose to return to a side that groomed his career.

This happened shortly after his close friend and fellow KCCA graduate Allan Okello joined Vipers on a two-year deal.

He joins Brazilians Joao Gabriel, Vinicius Michael, and Angolans Emilson Gonzaga, Cungulo Da Silva, Etienne Katenga and Adilson Bruno are some signings KCCA FC made.

Kizza and company will be expected to guide KCCA FC to their first silverware in four years.
