Musede targets podium finish at FIM MXOAN Championship in Namibia
The two-time Ugandan national champion in the 50cc class has set a firm, uncompromising target: a podium finish in the highly competitive 65cc division.

Morale and spirits are sky-high for teenage motocross sensation Jude Kyle Musede ahead of the FIM Motocross of African Nations (FIM MXOAN), which roars to life this weekend, August 28-30, 2026, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Musede and his support team arrived safely in Windhoek on Wednesday, immediately launching into an intensive testing session to fine-tune his brand-new 2027 KTM bike and get an early feel for the demanding Namibian gravel. The 13-year-old rider firmly believes this is his moment to shine on the continental stage.

Musede is no stranger to continental drama. At the 2023 edition in Morocco, he secured sensational podium finishes in two separate heats before a devastating crash in the final heat derailed his individual medal dreams. At the 2024 showcase in South Africa, he proved his immense speed by dominating the short-course event and securing a heat podium, only to be sidelined by illness the following day.
During last year's event at the Donnybrook Race Arena in Harare, Zimbabwe, Musede fought through a tough grid to finish 12th overall. His performance helped Team Uganda secure a respectable third-place overall bronze finish, while powerhouse South Africa took home the ultimate crown.
"We have arrived safely, settled in well, and completed our first light training track session. Jude is in spectacular physical shape, the bike feels great, and we are highly positive about our weekend prospects," Musede Senior stated.
The senior Kampala advocate added that the 65cc class remains one of the most unpredictable and brutal tiers in youth motorsport. "It is going to be an absolute clash of titans out there. We have done the technical groundwork; now we trust in God's grace to guide him safely through the heats."
Transitioning from his usual 2025 model to the advanced 2027 KTM bike, Musede faces a grueling battle against elite regional riders representing South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Madagascar.
Uganda's tactical charge in the 65cc division was heavily fortified by a strong national lineup, featuring Eadric Musede, Jaysen Katek, Solomon Winyi, and Jerome Mulumba.
