New head coach Robert Mukasa has promised discipline, growth, and a fresh fighting spirit as he begins his tenure with Buhimba United Saints FC.

Mukasa, who signed a one-year contract on Friday, says he is determined to lift the team during this challenging debut season in the Uganda Premier League.

“I’m happy to join the Saints family and I promise to give my all, instill discipline, improve performance, and help the team reach its full potential this season,” Mukasa said at his unveiling.

“I aim to strengthen the squad, bring positive energy, and lead the team toward progress and consistent results. It’s an honour to be part of the Saints family, and I will focus on building a winning mentality, sharpening skills, and achieving success on and off the pitch.”

Buhimba United Saints, popularly known as the Bunyoro Saints, officially unveiled the CAF “A” licensed coach this week. His arrival comes at a critical moment as the newly promoted side continues to struggle in the league.

The Saints have collected only nine points from their opening nine matches, all from their first three games, before suffering six consecutive defeats.

Club President Julius Ahuura expressed confidence in Mukasa’s ability to stabilize the team and inspire better performances.

“We are excited to have Coach Robert on board. His track record speaks volumes, and we believe his expertise will be instrumental to the club,” Ahuura said.

Mukasa brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed URA FC, Gaddafi FC, SC Villa, and UTODA FC.

His appointment signals a fresh chapter for the Saints as they fight to establish themselves in Uganda’s top flight.
