Nile Special Rugby Premiership

Saturday

Heathens v Victoria (Heathens lead 6-0)

Pirates v Walukuba v(Pirates lead series (48-6)

KOBs v Impis (KOBs lead 23-12)

Buffaloes v Mongers (Buffaloes lead 22-18)

Defending champions Black Pirates look to be home and dry after their mammoth 48–6 victory over the Walukuba Barbarians.

However, the same cannot be said for the rest of the pack, as last weekend's results were tighter than expected in several encounters.

KOBs left the Graveyard in Makerere with just a 23–12 lead, setting up a compelling contest at Kampala Rugby Club that neutrals will want to watch.

Impis have played this season with a lot of heart and determination, showing a penchant for remaining committed throughout the full 80 minutes.

As far as matches go, this one is not for the faint-hearted, but KOBs have home advantage and should get the job done.

The tie between Heathens and Victoria Sharks presents a particularly interesting dynamic. Both teams play at Kyadondo, but the Sharks, who were the hosts last weekend, opted to switch the venue on match day to Kyambogo. While the decision made sense at the time, it also highlighted the reality that clubs only share a common goal until the actual competition begins. The Sharks competed admirably, but Kyadondo will be rocking at 2 p.m. this Saturday. This is the early kick-off, so both teams will need to be ready to deliver from the very start.

The 4 p.m. kick-off at Kyadondo is also one to watch. Toyota Buffaloes will host Plascon Mongers with a narrow 22–18 advantage. This is not the kind of match either team would want to lose, and with only four points separating them, only the better side on the day will prevail.

By the end of business on Saturday, the picture will be clear as to which sides have advanced to the semi-finals.
