Hassan Kiyemba scored 38 stableford points to win the Annual Rotary Golf Fundraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Kyadondo at Kitante on Friday.

Kiyemba was part of Kitante Team-2, which topped the tournament with 110 points. Team members included Ernest Rukundo, who also scored 38 points, Ellis Katwebaze with 34 points, and Moses Mukiibi with 31 points.

Rukundo claimed the Group A prize, while Duncan Kaggwa and Godwill Bindeeba took the Group B and Group C honors with 36 and 38 points, respectively.

Berna Musanabera and Jackie Nyakaisiki were the top ladies, scoring 36 and 32 points, respectively, in the annual charity event aimed at raising funds to construct and complete the Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD) block at Naigobya Primary School in Luuka District.

Each year, Rotarians raise funds through various avenues, with proceeds channeled to the Rotary Foundation, which supports different projects worldwide, including in Uganda.

Last year, the Rotarians also supported the boy-child in Kamwokya through a vocational training institute, training about 40 boys and a few girls. They received technical instruction for nine weeks, empowering them with building skills after the certification course.
