Quarterfinals Draw
Kitara v Vipers
BUL v KCCA
Police v NEC
Pajule Lions v Pakwach Young Stars

Kitara vs Vipers and BUL vs KCCA headlined the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinal draws that were successfully held on Wednesday at FUFA House Mengo.

Kitara and Vipers are both in the Uganda Premier League title race where the Masindi side is topping the table standings and the Venoms are in fourth place.

Both sides are chasing a domestic double but the one that will knockout the other will keep this dream alive.

Kitara will host this encounter at Masindi Stadium, a ground which they have made a fortress this season beating all the top sides that have visited.

KCCA is currently out of the title race after that poor start to the season in the league, this means that the Uganda Cup is now their only chance to win a silverware.

The Kasasiro Boys are the joint record holders (10 times) and if they want to add an 11th cup to their name, they will need to be at their best to eliminate BUL who recently lifted it in 2022 when they beat Vipers in the final in Masindi.

Just like the Vipers, KCCA will also play away from home and it will be at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

KCCA and BUL have already met in the league this season (home and away) and the Jinja side took four points from them.

The other two quarterfinals will have FUFA Big League table leaders Police face NEC, a Uganda Premier League side while two northern Uganda regional sides Packwach Young Stars and Pajule Lions will negotiate with each other.

These matches are going to be played between the 10th and 14th of this month and will be on a one-match leg basis.

This means that there will not be return legs.

Vipers are the current holders having beaten Police in the final last season at Akii-Bua stadium in Lira City.

The winner of this cup gets an opportunity to play continental football as they qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stages.
