Kawempe Muslim 1 – 1 Kampala Queens
Kawempe Muslim coach Ayub Khalifah has acknowledged the need to sharpen his attacking line if his side is to secure results in their upcoming fixture against Olila High School in Soroti.
The former champions were held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions Kampala Queens in their FUFA Women Super League opener at Kawempe Valley on Friday.
“We had injuries, but we need to improve our attacking play and penetrate the opponent’s box if we are to score goals,” Khalifah said after the match.

Asia Nakibuka gave Kawempe a first-half lead, but Kampala Queens responded in the second half through Kamiyati Naigaga to level the score.
The 12-team league, sponsored by Finance Trust Bank, kicked off on Friday with just one fixture. Action resumes on Saturday with She Corporates hosting Uganda Martyrs Lubaga at the Njeru Technical Centre, while Amus College takes on St. Noa in Bukedea.
Sunday, October 5th, will feature three more fixtures: Asubo Ladies Football Club hosts She Maroons at Kampala Quality Grounds, Lady Doves face Olila High School, and Makerere University welcomes Rines SS at Makerere.
