Uganda’s top-ranked pool player Joseph Kasozi, popularly known as SharpShooter, has kicked off 2026 with a bold ambition: to become Africa’s number one pool player.
The Rox Berry Club star, currently Uganda’s Seed One under the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU), has signed with Cue Masters Management, a Dar es Salaam-based outfit.
This marks the first time Kasozi has been represented by a management agency outside Uganda.
“This is a big opportunity for me to prove my potting prowess,” Kasozi said. “With Cue Masters management, I now have a chance to compete and take part in many continental and global billiards events.”
Confident and determined, SharpShooter has set high expectations for himself. “Being a sharpshooter, I am ready to face anything. I fear no one, and I want to assure my new management that I am going to give my very best,” he added.
Kasozi emphasized that Cue Masters provides vital exposure, connecting players with some of the best pool talents across Africa, an opportunity he believes will elevate his game to the highest level.
His recent performances back up his ambition. In 2025, Kasozi finished second in Blackball at the Commonwealth Billiards Games in Mauritius, a result that showcased his growing stature on the international stage.
With new management and renewed confidence, Uganda’s SharpShooter is aiming to cement his place among Africa’s elite and bring more glory to Ugandan pool.
