Kampala Hockey Club's recruit Winnie Alaro wants to help her new team to win its first league title.

“KHC is organized. Last season they performed well, and they were a force to reckon with. I intend to have a different challenge with them, and the only aim is to win trophies,” remarked Alaro.

She stated this on Tuesday morning in an interview with Vision Sport after finalizing her transfer from Deliverance Church of Uganda (DCU) to the Swans side for one and a half seasons.

Alaro joined the Kampala side along with her sister Lucky Akello from DCU.

She will boost the defence of her new side with her excellent game reading, ability to beat opponents, and good ball-passing skills.

KHC Swans technical director Henry Kafuuma said the two players are proven.

“Lucky is a young player with a lot of potential who I am sure with our culture of nurturing young talents, we will develop her into one of the best, if not the best in the country,” Kafuuma said

“Winnie is a very good player who comes with experience that will help the team.”

Kafuuma says the fans should expect the best from the side after signing these two players.
