Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) Swans forwards Angela Nakintu and Sandra Namusoke were sensational as they managed to defeat Hockey Dreams Foundation (HDF).

The Swans opted for experienced players to get the work cut out after Nakintu’s second-quarter goal, followed by two fourth-quarter goals from Namusoke and Sarah Arinaitwe helping their side dethrone Gazelles from the top of the log.

Swans are level on points with Gazelles at 16 points each but they have a better goal difference of 30 compared to Gazelles who have 9 goals.

Swans-led striker Lucky Akello was not around as she returned to school and the mantle of scoring for the title-hungry Swans side was given to Namusoke and Nakintu who have been up to the task this season and have shown more signs of improvement.

Akello leads the swan’s top scorers’ chart while Wananchi’s Doreen Mbabazi is the lead top scorer in the women’s division with 17 goals followed by Gazelle's Anita Atim with 13 goals.

Swans' midfield comprising Winnie Alaro, Patricia Nakyanzi, and Franziska Mesenbrink has been vital since the season rolled.

The defensive ability of the swans has been a stronghold for their title quest as well.

in the men's category   Wananchi  Sc and Weatherhead are not showing any signs of dropping any points.

Wananchi beat City Lions 5-1,  while Weatherhead thumped Badgers 8-0 to retain the top spots with the duo topping the log with 22 points each but Weatherhead has a 60-goal difference and conceding only five.
