The three-day World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) tournament, sponsored by Equity Bank, Kachain Logistics, Munig Engineering Services, Pepsi, and Castle Lite, featured players from various categories, including Silver, Bronze, and the subsidiary.

“It was tough because Komugisha came in strong, and I kept dropping strokes with my driving and chipping not at its best,” Kabasweka said. “My game was up and down, but it feels so special to win it. I thank God that I was able to make my sponsor, MUNIG, proud.”

Prossy Zawedde (227net), Faith Namara (235) and Joweria Namanda (243) were the top three in the ladies’ silver net category while Grace Bitama (210), Eva Asasiira (223) and Patience Penelope Natukunda (248) topped the ladies’ bronze category.

The top players in the subsidiary event were Acel Ongol (30pts) and Lilian Spice Kwera (36pts) in the ladies’ groups A and B where Ruth Akello (24pts) and Flavia Auma (35pts) were the runners up.

Geoffrey Ssenvuma (34pts), Enock Kajoba (42pts) and Patrick Andiadu (43pts) who topped the men’s groups A, B and C respectively.
