Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) and Jinja Senior Secondary School (Jinja SSS ) continued to show their dominance in the Jinja qualifiers when they dispatched their opponents in their quarterfinal matches on Tuesday.

At Bugembe Stadium, two first-half goals from winger Shafik Twikiriza and James Jarieko helped JIPRA fight off a challenge from their neighbours Jinja City College with a 2-1 victory.

Head of games at JIPRA, Ali Kitezala said his team was fatigued.

"We scored two quick goals in the first 10 minutes and switched off because of fatigue, but that did not stop us from hitting our target of securing a win, "said Kitezala.

Kitezala's men will be facing Lakeside SS in the semifinals after the latter beat Kiira College Butiki 1-0 in the early morning quarterfinal at Kakindu Stadium.

On the other side, JIPRA's bitter rivals Jinja SSS defeated Lwanda High 2-0 to book a semifinal place against Jinja Comprehensive.
