Africa Motocross Champion Gift Sebuguzi has dedicated his victory to the Motorcycling Association (MAU) where he trains from.

Sebuguzi the son of rally driver Ronald Sebuguzi is the only Ugandan racer that emerged champion in the Motocross of African Nations (FIM MXoAN) held at Victoria Raceway track Garuga.

He will officially hand over the trophy to MAU on September 11, at the MAU Challenge 6 in Busiika.

“We are dedicating the victory to MAU and coach Kyle Sedlak who trained Gift and managed to beat the South Africans,” Sebuguzi said.

Sebuguzi won the 85cc class where he faced stiff opposition from South Africa’s

Blade Tilley and Caden Weise won silver and bronze respectively.

According to Sebuguzi senior, his target is to have his son regularly race in South Africa and USA before joining rallying when he retires.

The MAU Challenge six will help racers prepare for the Armed Forces Motocross Championship due in October.

The MAU challenge 6 will be the first event that will see racers from both Busiika and Garuga race together without fear of any sanctions from either the Federation of Motorsport clubs of Uganda or MAU.

The MAU challenge 6 is supported by Mountain Dew, BAR Aviation, and Extreme Adventure Park Busiika.
