Unlike the previous events, the Sunday Sixth round of the National Motocross Championship promises to be more competitive than ever before.

This is after the MAU racers confirmed participating in Sunday’s event that is likely to decide who will win the national championship title winner in the different classes.

It is an action-packed Sunday in Kasanje Town Council, Wakiso district fans will get value for their money.

Team captain Alestair Blick faces fireworks from speed merchant and Uganda’s crowd favourite Fortune Sentamu in the MX1 class.

Riding a 2023 Gas Gas bike, Sentamu will be racing in the National championship for the first time since 2019. Fans eagerly await his whipping riding skills on the newly constructed track owned by Amos Wekesa.

Darbella Apolot, Sentamu's mother said that her racer is ready for the fight.

“He has not practiced on the track in Kasanje because he is busy preparing to write his S.4 exams at St. Marys’ Kitende, but with his experience, he is ready to give fans value for money,” Apolot said.

Sentamu is part of team OB (Orland Brothers) and will soon be joining them to compete in the South African Nationals.

In the MX125cc class, Kylan Wekesa is set to face the stiffest challenge he has ever faced this year because, Jeremiah Mawanda, Milton Akaki, African Champion Gift Sebuguzi, the Omar brothers Ali, Wazir, and Waleed will be competing.

However, before the MX125 class, there will be a grueling battle between the Katende brothers Miguel and Jonathan taking on Larry Sekamwa, Pascal Kasozi, Ashi Mbabazi, Ramathan Mubiru, Telvin Jjunju, Jason Burrows, Malcolm Omoding in either the 85cc or 65cc class respectively.

In the 65cc and 50cc, Jude Kyle Musedde, Ethan Musedde, Filbert Muwonge, Maria Nakabugo, Austin Asiimwe, Isaac Mitima, and Mahad Lukwago will battle it out in what is expected to be a more exciting and challenging event.
