From financial difficulties to failing to train on Monday among others, Express FC  will head to Kavumba Recreation ground to face Soltilo Bright Stars today in the Uganda Premier League.

The financial challenges have seen the team go close to three months without pay and it has dealt a blow to the morale of the players thus postponing Monday's training session.

However, the team resumed training on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Red Eagles who have not had a good start in the second round losing back-to-back games will be seeking to return to winning ways. They lost to KCCA 4-3 and Mbarara City 3-1.

Express, who defeated Bright Stars 1-0 in the first round, will be aiming to complete a double.

Coach Alex Isabirye has called for an improvement from his players.

“We need to improve as a team. In the previous games, we made mistakes that cost us but I believe we have addressed this. We need to show character. We also have to be mindful that we are playing a good team and they are at home,” said Isabirye.

Bright Stars have been performing well at home. They have not lost any of their last six games. In those games, they managed to win five games and drew one.

Bright Stars who lost to BUL 2-1 in their previous game will be seeking a return to winning ways.

Coach Joseph Mutyaba revealed that they have to handle the game with a lot of care.

“Express might want to put pressure on us. However, we are at home and we need to try to bounce back. We are a team that believes in unity and we have the potential to pick results from them," noted Mutyaba.

Elsewhere, Mbarara City will host Gaddafi at Kakyeka Stadium. The Ankole Lions lost to NEC 2-0 in their previous game while Gaddafi picked up a crucial point in a goalless draw with Vipers at St Mary's stadium in Kitende.
