Cape Verde coach Bubista, who guided the small island nation to the knockout stage of the World Cup, has been appointed head coach of Morocco's RS Berkane, the club said on Tuesday.
The 56-year-old, whose real name is Pedro Leitao Brito, led World Cup debutants Cape Verde into the last 32 at the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The Blue Sharks held eventual champions Spain and Uruguay in the group stage before bowing out to Argentina after extra time.
Berkane said the decision to appoint Bubista reflected "the success of his previous experience at the head of the Cape Verde national team".
Bubista replaces Mouine Chaabani, who recently took charge of the Tunisia national team.
The Cape Verde football federation has yet to announce if Bubista will continue in his role with the national team.
Berkane finished runners-up in Morocco's top flight last season and reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
