The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a new trophy for the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.

The reveal was marked by the participation of East African football legends Victor Wanyama (Kenya), Denis Onyango (Uganda), and Mrisho Ngasa (Tanzania), each lending their star power to the momentous occasion.

The launch comes as anticipation builds for the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2 to 30.

A special video released by CAF showcased the new trophy and featured the three regional icons, underscoring the championship’s renewed spirit and the unity among the co-hosting nations. The new trophy is a key part of CHAN's rebranding campaign, aimed at celebrating African heritage, unity, and football excellence.

With a striking modern design, the trophy is crafted in gold and silver tones, reflecting the growing prestige of the competition. Notably, it features 54 engraved lines—each representing a CAF member association—and is crowned with a map of Africa, symbolizing the pan-African essence of the tournament.

Beyond aesthetics, the design embodies CHAN's core values: unity, diversity, and progress. Every line tells a story of African football's journey, driven by passion, resilience, and the dreams of countless players and fans.

As the TotalEnergies CAF CHAN, PAMOJA 2024 prepares to kick off, the new trophy stands as a proud symbol of the competition’s evolution—and its vital role in the continent’s football growth.
