Uganda v Tanzania

Joseph Baguma took 5/23 in eight overs as Uganda defeated Hong Kong by 103 runs to make it 2-0 in their trial games ahead of the ICC World Challenge League B, which gets underway tomorrow with a clash against hosts Tanzania.

Baguma’s inspired display included a maiden over, and he was deservedly named player of the match in another contest that the Cricket Cranes dominated, even after a less than satisfying batting performance.

Uganda were bowled out for 213 in 48.2 overs, with Sumeet Verma once again leading the scorers with 58 runs.

Verma, who scored a century against Tanzania two days ago, is in the perfect vein of form for Uganda ahead of the final leg of the ICC World Challenge League B, where the Cricket Cranes need three wins from five games to secure a top-two finish and qualify to the next stage.

Alpesh Ramjani scored 56 off 102 runs, while Henry Ssenyondo took 2/15 in 6.3 overs.
